Things in Denver haven’t gone the way one would expect this season. The Nuggets are 14-17 on the season and in the middle of an eight-game losing streak under first year head coach Brian Shaw. During a blowout loss at home to the Philadelphia 76’ers Wednesday night, veteran guard Andre Miller got into it on the bench with Shaw.
Miller felt he was being disrespected by Shaw who, opted not to play Miller, giving him his first DNP-CD (did not play, coach’s decision) in 239 consecutive games. Miller reportedly had to be restrained.
As a result, Miller has been suspended for two games for conduct detrimental to the team. He’ll miss Friday’s home game against the Memphis Grizzlies and Sunday’s game against the Denver Nuggets.
