NBA Superheros Presented By ESPN & Marvel Comics

I’m not really a comic book type chick but I do appreciate a few of the characters and of course, great illustrations. Marvel Comics, home to Spider man, Wolverine & Iron Man, and ESPN have announced a partnership.

ESPN will produce an extended series of promo images featuring the NBA’s superstars and staples of the Marvel Comics universe. There are reportedly over 30 different images, and the first two have been leaked. Fittingly it’s Kobe and Lebron (Smile who else  would they start with, Big Baby?)

The first image parallels Kobe Bryant’s five-ringed hand with the Infinity Gauntlet, from the comic of the same name.  Check that drawing closely, it features LeBron James, Dwight Howard, Rajon Rondo, Kevin Durant, and a few Super Heroes  all vying for what could be Kobe’s sixth ring.

In addition to that, there’s a LeBron James-themed recreation of a famous Spider-Man frame:

I Like IT! If I were compared to a Marvel Character, it would probably be Emma Frost! Ahh Ha bet you thought I’d say Storm! I told you I know a little!
