Pau Gasol is set to begin a new era in his NBA career. The forward has signed with the Chicago Bulls.
It hasn’t been easy. After meditating it a lot I’ve chosen to play with the Chicago Bulls. Looking forward to this new chapter of my career

The multi-year deal with a salary starting in the $6.5 million-a-year range. Gasol reportedly turned down a two-year contract with the Lakers at $10 million per season.
I understand why Pau would want to leave the Lakers. Though inconsistent and injury prone these last few seasons, Pau lived on the trading block these last two seasons. Plus there was that one time when David Stern vetoed the trade that could’ve changed the Lakers destiny… Trades are a part of the business. But, the way he was left to twist in the wind at times seemed cruel given that he was an integral part of the last two Lakers titles.
Good luck in Chicago.
