The multi-year deal with a salary starting in the $6.5 million-a-year range. Gasol reportedly turned down a two-year contract with the Lakers at $10 million per season.
I understand why Pau would want to leave the Lakers. Though inconsistent and injury prone these last few seasons, Pau lived on the trading block these last two seasons. Good luck in Chicago.
