Michael Beasley is back with the team that originally drafted him. The forward signed a one-year non-guaranteed deal with the Miami Heat after the Suns released him. Thursday night Beas got his first taste of preseason action as the Heat were in Detroit to face off against the Pistons. Beasley played nine minutes but, suffered an injury because he hit himself in the face.
Yes, you read that correctly.
Beasley’s eyebrow was “swollen” and that the team’s staff treated him using the same medical tools that a boxing trainer might use on a fighter during a bout. He apparently began punching himself after a traveling violation.
Enthusiasm is appreciated but not at the expense of yourself. But, I suppose that shows the level of dedication Beas plans to give to the heat this season.
