Former Golden State Warriors head coach is headed back to his old job in the broadcast booth. Following two successful seasons with the Warriors, Jackson was fired because of a strained working relationship with management.
The players were all very supportive of Jackson, with team star Stephen Curry voicing support for him before he was fired. Jackson has signed a multi-year deal with ESPN – that will allow him to take a head coaching position if it comes up. Expect to hear Jackson’s trademark, “Mama here comes that man” during the Conference Finals.
Jackson started his broadcasting career with the YES Network.
