LeBron James is tired of being humble. Monday night following a loss in Dallas, the King unloaded his clip on NBA analyst and “hater” Charles Barkley. LeBron questioned Barkley’s credibility and then got a bit personal, bringing up Barkley’s old arrests, gambling habits and implied Chuck has money problems too.
Last week, Barkley called LeBron whiny for complaining about the current structure of the Cavs, so Lebron hit Chuck with some ether he obviously had stored deep in his heart for awhile.
“He’s a hater,” James told ESPN “What makes what he says credible? Because he’s on TV?”
He continued with the clapback
“All I’ve done for my entire career is represent the NBA the right way. Fourteen years, never got in trouble. Respected the game. Print that.”
He wasn’t done, he implied Barkley needs funds and that’s why he can’t quit TV and low-key told him, “catch me outside then”
“I know he wanted to retire a long time ago, but he can’t,” James said. “He’s stuck up on that stage every week.”
“And if this makes him want to talk to me, the schedule’s out there,” James said. “He knows every road arena I’ll be in. Don’t just come up to me at All-Star and shake my hand and smile.”
After LeBron let the chopper sing, he then added, “there’s a new sheriff in town.” Basically the King was fed up with Charles critiques. In case you think he would walk his comments back, LeBron had this to add on Twitter.
Former NBA enforcer Charles Oakley added his two cents on Twitter Tuesday morning, siding with LeBron.
