Lebron James has thrown down the gauntlet. The two-time NBA champion made a statement saying he belongs on basketball’s Mount Rushmore, even if you have to push someone off to place him there.
The question started when the four-time MVP was asked in an interview with NBA TV, who was in his “NBA’s Mount Rushmore.”
“The easy three, that we all talk about in our league, you’ve got Michael Jordan, you got Larry Bird and you’ve got Magic Johnson,” LeBron said. “And I would say the fourth… wow, this is so tough. The greatest players of all time that I’d like to see on Mount Rushmore? This is not fair … Oscar Robertson. Those are my four.”
LeBron has been talking a lot of realness this week. He also said he’d win the dunk contest if he entered. But simply doesn’t want to do it. I appreciate it. Check out his windmill dunk from Tuesday night’s 37-point performance against the Phoenix Suns. And his one man dunk show from practice on Monday.
