Lamar Odom to Clippers via three-team trade between Mavs, Jazz & Clippers

It’s official. Lamar Odom is back in LA as a member of the the Clippers. The Dallas Mavericks, Utah Jazz and Clippers completed a three-team trade. Ready for the details?

Odom will play alongside CP3 and the rest of Lob City, Mo Williams gets dealt to Utah and Dallas will receive a trade exception from the Jazz, which stems from last season’s Mehmet Okur trade. Initially, the only sticking point left to complete the swap was for Williams to exercise the player option on his contract for next season, which would pay him $8.5 million. However, the Associated Press is reporting that Mo will exercise his option

The Clippers could be a great landing spot for Lam-lam. Back in LA where he’s comfortable and his family is adjusted. Same routine, same arena and reality show love should he choose to partake in any of the varied versions of Kardashian mania on E! On the court, Lamar can help the Clips big man rotation. Sounds like a win-win to me, IF Mo Williams agrees to play for Utah.
