The Lakers pulled out of the Chris Paul deal (or the NBA nixed it depending on which story you believe) and Lamar Odom has been traded to the Dallas Mavericks. Yup, a conference rival AND the team that swept the Lakers out of the playoffs. He was traded for the Mavs’ 2012 first round draft pick and a trade exception. But, I’m not worried at all. Admittedly there have been times that I’ve thought Mitch Kupchak was NUTS but I see the bigger picture, DWIGHT HOWARD. This move is about the future as much as it’s about this season.
Let’s be real the Lakers have missed the playoffs 5 times in their 62 year history. In the last 20 years, they’ve missed them twice. In the 93-94 season and in 04-05. We’ll be ok for the naysayers. I appreciate everything LO has done for the franchise. At times last season he was our most stable player moving from starting 5 to sixth man role with grace and ease. The move to Dallas isn’t a bad one for he and Khloe. She’s a ride or die chick and will take over Dallas.

In the meantime, Chris Paul is expected to end up with the Clippers. I’m SO not mad at that if it happens. Blake, DeAndre Jordan (Sorry Golden State, he stays put) and CP3. I think some major things can happen with that core! Hope springs eternal
