Lakers: Love, an all Kobe starting 5 & kisses from “Shorty Rock”

The light in the Lakers tunnel is appearing pretty dim. They dropped their fourth game in a row against the Rockets. Both Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol are out with injuries. And alleged chemistry problems. So let’s look at some fun things from the loss at the Rockets. NBATV had some fun at Kobe and the Lakers expense, displaying the team’s starting line up as Kobe starting at all five positions.

Then there’s this slightly-unsanitary-yet-comical-timeout when Steve Nash wiped his underarms with a towel and tossed it to Metta World Peace. Who then proceeded to wipe his face with the same towel. Steve Nash recorded the 10,000th assist of his career with a pass to Antawn Jamison.

Nash is only the fifth player in NBA history to reach the milestone of 10,000 career assists. The other four players are John Stockton, Jason Kidd, Mark Jackson and Earvin “Magic” Johnson.
