23 days until we are officially back with NBA action. I am super pumped up. I’ve missed the NBA terribly. The 5-game Christmas schedule has been announced. My plan is to be right in from of the TV all Christmas day- unless those Laker tickets come through. Prayers up to the Basketball Gods.
Check what teams will be suiting up to play on Christmas:
The day kicks off at with Celtics vs. Knicks in Boston at Noon EST/ 9 AM PST on TNT (YESSSSSS Kenny, Ernie, Chuck and SHAQ!)
Then at 2:30 EST/ 11:30 AM PST we’re treated to a rematch of last seasons finals with the Heat facing off against the Mavericks in Dallas on ABC. No ring ceremony though. That will come later.
At 5:00 PM EST/ 2:00 PM PST MY Lakers will play the Chicago Bulls at Staples center. Come ON Basketball Gods, you know I need to be in the building for this! This game is of course on ABC also
Then at 8:00 PM EST/5:00 PM PST we get a game that I only marginally have an interest in. The lame duck Orlando Magic travel to Oklahoma City to face off against the Thunder. I don’t see it for the Magic, I don’t believe Dwight Howard does either. but, I LOVE the Thunder and it’s NBA action…
Rounding out the night, MY other LA team, the Clippers travel up north to take on the Golden State Warriors at 10:30 EST/7:30 PM on ESPN. And no, I don’t care if you feel as if I need to be a either a Lakers fan or Clippers fan. It’s an LA thing, you wouldn’t understand. :giggle:
Let me go old school and cue up Kurtis Blow’s Basketball
