Capital Punishment: L.A. Drew League vs. D.C.’s Goodman League Game To Feature Kevin Durant, John Wall, Brandon Jennings And More.

NBA lockout. No summer league. The NBA players are still staying in shape and giving fans a way to see them for free with both the Goodman and Drew leagues. Based in D.C. and L.A. respectfully, these two grassroots pro-am have received a lot of press lately. Now the two will face off against each other in a first-of-its-kind rivalry game.

“CAPITAL PUNISHMENT” is set to take place August 20, 2011 at McDonough Arena on the campus of Georgetown University. Check the rosters of both teams:

The Goodman League Roster: Kevin Durant (Okc Thunder), John Wall (Washington Wizards), Ty Lawson (Denver Nuggets), Gary Neal, Tyreke Evans  (Sacramento Kings), Michael Beasley (Minnesota Timberwolves), Demarcus Cousins (Sacramento Kings), Josh Selby (Memphis Grizzlies), Sam Young (Memphis Grizzlies), Donte Green (Sacramento Kings), Hugh “Baby Shaq” Jones, Emanuel “Duce” Jones and Warren “D-Nice” Jefferson.

Think about it, yeah this could be like any other All-Star game but essentially these guys are Repping for their city. That’s got all the makings for an instant classic, right?
