It’s not a secret that Kobe Bryant and Dwight Howard aren’t besties. The two have completely different approaches to the game, and it just didn’t work out. The Lakers home opener took place Tuesday night against the Houston Rockets. Lakers’ fans are still a bit salty about Dwight’s departure – not me, if you don’t want to be here, BYE FELICA – so of course he was booed on every touch.
Things got interesting during the fourth quarter when Dwight caught Kobe with an elbow to the chin. There was of course a bit of jawing back and forth, and then Mamba hit him with it.
“SOFT”
In a piece before the match up, Dwight expressed how he doesn’t fear Kobe.
When asked about the scuffle after the game, Dwight told the media he wasn’t giving them anything, the Rockets won, the end.
This would be funny if the glaring reality of the Lakers’ season wasn’t the backdrop of all of this.
