Kobe Bryant responds to Michael Jordan’s claim Kobe stole all MJ’s moves

What would an NBA season be without comparing players of past eras to current jocks? During the Miami Heat’s media day Monday, LeBron stated that he was on his way to being one of the greatest ever. On Tuesday Jordan came out and said that he could beat LeBron in a one-on-one match during his prime. But, he couldn’t beat Kobe.

Before Kobe fans get too giddy, Jordan did throw a little dig at Kobe, stating that Kobe stole all his moves.

In his prime, Michael Jordan thinks he would have defeated LeBron James and other NBA legends in a game of one-on-one. But there’s one matchup Jordan wasn’t sure about.

Jordan was interviewed by Ahmad Rashad for an upcoming promo video for NBA 2K14. He said he’d like to have played games against Jerry West, Elgin Baylor, Julius Erving, Carmelo Anthony and Dwyane Wade, among others, and was confident in his ability to defeat all comers.

“I don’t think I would lose,” Jordan said, “other than to Kobe Bryant because he steals all of my moves.”

The clip hasn’t yet been fully released, so it’s impossible to say whether Jordan dropped the mic and stared at the camera for seven seconds after delivering that line.

Kobe, known for the solid come back tweeted his response.

Touché Vino… Jordan has become quite the grumpy old man. Check out the interview where he also tells a story about how he destroyed OJ Mayo in a game of one on one at his camp.

King James had this to say:

James laughed off the comment. James is on the cover of NBA2k14. ‘It was for my game?’ James said of Jordan’s comments. ‘It’s a good promotion thing.’ James said ‘absolutely’ he’s thought about a matchup with Jordan but ‘no one will ever see it and it’s not going to happen. But it’s good for people to talk about … M.J. said that?’”
