Is Kobe Bryant Passing the Torch to 1 of his Lakers’ teammates?

The Los Angeles Lakers suffered the worst loss in the history of the franchise Monday night in Utah, losing to the Jazz by 48. Their record is currently a lowly 15-59 and Kobe Bryant is headed out the door. Recently we pondered the topic of who will be the Lakers centerpiece once Mamba hangs up his Nikes.

With young players like D’Angelo Russell, Jordan Clarkson and Julius Randle on the roster, Kobe was asked if he was passing the torch to any of them?  Check his answer.

via LA Daily News:

Bryant hardly sounded as complimentary on whether his current teammates have what it takes to lead the Lakers franchise once he leaves.

“No. If you have to ask that question, the answer is already there,” Bryant said. “Torches never get passed. You have to earn that.”

The Black Mamba is old school, he’s not just going to give you that title.
