Knicks rookie Iman Shumpert injures knee in game 1 vs. Heat [video]

The Heat vs. Knicks is turing into a blowout. Late in the 3rd quarter as the Heat was up by 30, rookie hotshot Iman Shumpert injured his left knee and had to be assisted off the court.

The guard has been a key piece of the Knicks upswing the last few weeks, taking over the starting role after Jeremy Lin went down with his own knee injury. This incident also comes on the heels of Derrick Rose injuring his knee during the Bulls win over the 76’ers.

Shumpert was taken to a local hospital to have tests run on his knee. His prognosis was the same as Derrick rose, torn acl.
