The Knicks had their home opener Friday night at Madison Square Garden while the city recovered from the turmoil of Hurricane Sandy. Perhaps playing off emotion – or giving us a glimpse of what we can expect from the franchise this season – the team went out and thrashed the Miami Heat 104-84.
One of the highlights of the game came at the end as the crowd chanted for Coach Mike Woodson to put Rasheed Wallace in the game to get his first taste of NBA action in two years. Woodson checked in with Rasheed to see if he wanted to get in the game and the cameras caught that moment. IT WAS GREAT!!
