The New York Knicks look to be on their way to a first round sweep of the Boston Celtics. But game four just might have to be played minus their “Sixth Man of the Year,” JR Smith. Smith was ejected from Friday night’s win after he elbowed Jason Terry in the face during the fourth quarter. It appears that Smith intentionally elbowed Celtics’ Jason Terry in the face. “The Jet” was not pleased an went after JR before being held back by teammate Jeff Green. The officials certainly felt that way assessing it a Flagrant 2 and bouncing Smith from the game. He ended the night with 15 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals.
Of course the league will review the play and make a ruling. Maybe this is the Celtics opportunity to steal a game… Nah they’ll be at home chilling with the Lakers. The Spurs blew them out last night by 31 points. Le sigh.
