It’s official, the Nets will now to be known as the Brooklyn Nets. Minority-share owner Jay-Z made the announcement Monday morning at a press conference for the Nets Brooklyn arena, The Barclays Center.
To celebrate the Sept. 28, 2012 grand opening, Jay will be performing 8 concerts. In addition to that, the team also announced it’s selling “all-access” passes. The VIP passes, which go for the amazing low price of $15,400 a person, not only gets you in the house for 41 games, courtside naturally, but also access to lounges inside the arena, free food and other events taking place in the arena.
I’m sure the concert will have lots of guest appearances and surprise special guests.
