Atlanta Hawks forward Mike Scott was arrested on Thursday in Georgia, charged with felony weed possession and possession of a Schedule 1 drug, MDMA also known as molly.
The 27-year-old Scott was arrested with his 20-year-old brother, Antonn Scott, who was driving.
The incident began when the police allegedly attempted to pull Scott over for driving too close to another car. The driver didn’t comply and instead gave chase at speeds up to 98 mph.
“The occupants advised that they did have marijuana in the vehicle,” McFaddin said. “Deputies located over an ounce of Marijuana in the vehicle along with approximately 10.9 grams of MDMA, known as ‘Molly’.”
The Hawks released a statement saying they are aware but will reserve comment for the moment.
Scott is on the second year of a $10 million contract.
