Friday Night Lights: The NBA Edition

This is for you highlight watchers! Friday night in the NBA was absolute Awesomeness!!

  • The Boston Celtics were in NYC to play the New York Knicks. Rajon Rondo had a modest little triple-double. 10 points, 10 rebounds and 24 ASSISTS. Lost in all the Rondo excitement was the fact that Paul Pierce and KG both had double-doubles as well! Back to back games will be what you’re watching for with Boston. Older team, legs aren’t so fresh.

Chris Bosh was So Fresh & Clean for the Heat Home Opener

  • The Heat vs. the Magic was an early (can I stress EARLY) preview of a potential Eastern Conference match up. The first half lived up to the hype. The second half… Yeah BLOW OUT

The Heat always has a hot (no pun intended) Opening sequence:

Lebron wants you to know he’s embraced the Villain role. He’s a Micky Ficky MONSTER!!

More like a vampire! Which makes sense because vampires are equal parts scary and alluring. They seduce you then they attack. hey, I’m a True Blood fan

Dwight Howard worked on his post moves this summer with Hakeem Olajuwon. It shows!    Unfortunately the rest of the Magic didn’t show up last night. South Beach 6th man?? Or are the Magic frauds? It’s too early to tell.

Other notable highlights.

  • Russell Westbrook and Serge Ibaka of the Thunder both had double-doubles in a win over Detroit.
  • The Lakers over the Suns! I don’t need to say anything else.
