Dwight Howard went off for 19 points in the first quarter of Rockets vs. Trailblazers, with most of those points coming from dunks – 12 to be exact. DH seemed fired up after Shaq – once again- went off on him, and it seemed to work. But ultimately, the Blazers had a total team effort with LaMarcus Aldridge having his second back-to-back playoff game scoring 40 points.
LMA went off for 43 points. Point guard Damian Lillard chipped in a double-double with 18 points and 11 assists. Portland’s bench came alive with Dorell Wright adding 15 points off the bench and 3 blocked shots, to leave the Rockets without home court advantage, heading back to Portland down 0-2.
Check Dwight’s highlight’s from the first quarter.
Blazers win 112-105. Side note, anybody seen James Harden? He always seems to go missing at this time of year. In post game, he said he wasn’t worried about finding his offense, he was worried about team defense… Opp
How crazy will it be if Dwight left the Lakers to end up with the same result as last season. But he’s happier.
Second side note, I picked the Rockets to win the series. I wanted to believe. I’m absolutely concerned.
