After missing a full season of NBA action to rehab a torn ACL, Derrick Rose made his return to the court on Saturday in preseason NBA action between the Chicago Bulls and Indiana Pacers. Rose had his first in-game dunk that caused the crowd to go wild. It was your run-of-the-mill jam, but I guess the excitement stems from seeing the point guard on the court made it better.
“I think I jump higher,” Rose said after scoring 13 points in 20 minutes during the Bulls’ 82-76 victory against the Indiana Pacers. “I think coming into the league I was at 37 [inches vertical jump] and they tested my vertical at [a training facility], I’m probably at like a 42 [inches], so I’m jumping a little bit higher.”
