As the Lakers attempt to regroup and bounce back from trading disgruntled star Lamar Odom, the Clippers have focused their attention to the other burned party in this mess, Chris Paul and the New Orleans Hornets.
The Clippers are working on a deal that would send center Chris Kaman, guard Eric Bledsoe, forward Al-Farouq Aminu and the No. 1 draft pick to bring the All-Star point guard to L.A. The reason why this deal will probably get the league’s blessing, lots of young players and a high pick for the 2012 draft. That draft class is expected to be fairly deep with talent.
Chris Paul to Blake Griffin would be AWESOME. Add newly signed Caron Butler to that equation. Plus the fact that this trade also allows the Clippers to hang onto Eric Gordon and DeAndre Jordan (the Clippers are expect to match the Warriors offer sheet of $43 million for 4 years but will wait the full 3 days allowed them to do it.)
I stay on the side of “hopeful” when it comes to the Clippers. Also thankful as I still get to see some of the NBA’s best and brightest by attending their games but at a more budget friendly cost! ::smile::
