The Los Angeles Clippers are on the verge of the franchise’s first appearance in the Western Conference Finals. Of course, they have to get past the Houston Rockets first.
The Clippers suffered an epic meltdown Thursday night in a close out game. This is the second straight loss on closeout games after previously leading the series 3-1. The Clippers were up by 13 entering into the fourth quarter. With Rockets star James Harden on the bench, the Clips watched their lead evaporate. In the final 14 minutes of the game, the Rockets outscored the Clippers 49-18. They also outrebounded them 24-8, and scored eight second-chance-points, while the Clips scored 0.
Clipper Nation will now hit the road for Game 7 on Sunday in Houston.
“We didn’t finish,” Chris Paul said. “We just got comfortable.”
The Cleveland Cavilers advanced over the Chicago Bulls. JR Smith posted this meme to convey how he and Iman Shumpert feel heading to the Eastern Conference Finals.
The Warriors are back in Memphis tonight for Game 6 after blowing out the Grizzlies Wednesday night in Oakland. They’re looking to close the series out and wait for Sunday’s outcome.
