It’s official, the number 1 pick in June’s NBA draft, Andrew Wiggins, has signed with Adidas. This is the first number one pick to sign with the shoe brand since Derrick Rose was drafted to the Bulls in 2008.
The multi-year contract deal is said to guarantee $2 million a year. The Cleveland Cavs rookie joins an Adidas roster that contains Rose, Dwight Howard, Trail Blazers Damian Lillard, Wizards John Wall and Utah Jazz draft pick Dante Exum.
Of course, Wiggins made it official on Instagram.
Been waiting for this day. Happy to be joining the @adidashoops fam! #teamadidas
Meanwhile, lots of things bubbling under with his new team. Now its just a question of will he be pairing in the front court with LeBron, or more like Trevor Ariza and Chandler Parsons.
