Clippers pg Chris Paul, fresh off of his new Olympic Gold medal and the birth of his daughter, had surgery to repair a torn ligament in his thumb on his right hand.
Paul injured the thumb in Las Vegas during Team USA’s training camp last month. Paul is expected to be sidelined for eight weeks but is expected to be ready for the start of the NBA season.
Interesting both of the Clippers stars suffered injuries during that training series, Blake’s obviously the more severe of the two as it forced him to miss participating in the London games.
But don’t expect to see less participation from NBA athletes. Just more owners grumbling.
