Chauncey Billups & Gilbert Arenas Are First Victims Of The NBA Amnesty Clause

Knicks guard Chauncey Billups was waived to help complete a transaction that will net the Knickerbockers Former Mavericks center Tyson Chandler. Billups had 1 season left at $14.2 million. Billups is reportedly not a happy camper that a random team can acquire his services because of provisions in the clause.
Phoenix Suns guard Vince Carter wasn’t a victim of the amnesty clause but he has been waived by the Suns. A buyout agreement of $4 million got the deal done. The Mavs are said to be one of the teams interested in Carter
