A few days into NBA summer league in Vegas, and one thing is for certain. Other than Klay Thompson lighting it up from three-point range for the Warriors, the rookies and NBA hopefuls looks like… rookies and NBA hopefuls.
Earlier this week, Cavs point guard Kyrie Irving was doing some amazing things during the Team USA scrimmages so the hope was that he’d bring that same energy to summer league play. Now comes word out of Vegas that Irving has broken his right hand and will be out of commission for the next 6-8 weeks but is expected back by the start of training camp. Irving missed 16 games last season due to a shoulder injury.
