Phoenix Mercury star Brittney Griner has had an emotional two months. In addition to being arrested for an altercation with her then-fianceé Glory Johnson in April, the two married in May and are now headed for an annulment in June.
In a recent interview, Griner broke down in tears describing the last few months, while explaining that she really didn’t want to go through with the marriage, because of everything taking place.
“Prior to us getting married, I knew I didn’t want to,…I shouldn’t have went through with it,” she continued. “You know, sometimes you feel pressured into things, and I went along with it. And I know I shouldn’t have. It was a huge mistake. I just knew it was a mistake.”
