Oh Boston Celtics fans. In the first quarter of Friday night’s Game 6 match up, the Celtics fans started a chant trying to get into the head of Knicks star Carmelo Anthony. Yes, those were “Honey Nut Cheerios” chants you heard. In the end though, it didn’t even matter Knicks finally move on to round two of the playoffs after 13 years.
The Knicks almost blew the lead in the fourth quarter with the Celtics staging an incredible comeback but in the end, it was too little too late. Melo ended the night with 21 points. And fittingly, this will probably be the last time we see Celtics Kevin Garnett playing professionally.
