Anytime a player ends up leaving the court on a stretcher it’s scary. But the collision between Charlotte Bobcats forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and teammate Jeff Taylor that left MKG not moving and eyes closed on a stretcher was particular heart stopping.
Kidd-Gilchrist was hurt trying to block a Toney Douglas layup in the fourth quarter. He was taken to a hospital via ambulance where he was diagnosed with a concussion. X-rays and a CT scan came back negative, per ProBasketball Talk. The Bobcats lost to the Rockets 109-95. James Harden scored his first career triple-double. Kidd-Gilchrist had four points and five rebounds in 20 minutes before leaving with the injury.
