Baron Davis & Tina Thompson To Host LA Charity Game Featuring Paul Pierce, Russel Westbrook and More

LA, you’re up next!! Baron Davis and WNBA legend ( and Sparks Star, USC Trojan and Morningside High standout, sorry I have to rep) Tina Thompson have come together to put on a charity game, “For The City Basketball Experience”

The game will feature some of the top NBA talent that began honing their greatness in the City of Angels. It’s a movement known as LA Unified (LAUNFD). If you’re from LA, you know that’s the name of our school district but now, it also embodies the rich basketball tradition that flows throughout the city.

Instead of listing the players current NBA team, I’ll include the high school they attended, cause I’m ‘SO LA.’ And if you’re a frequent reader, you know I put on for my city!

Schedule to play:

Paul Pierce- Inglewood High, Trevor Ariza- Westchester, Dorell Wright- Leuzinger,  Russell Westbrook – Leuzinger, Craig Smith- Fairfax, James Harden- Artesia, DeMar DeRozan- Compton, Amir Johnson- Westchester, Nick Young- Westchester, Darren Collison-Etiwanda, Arron Afflalo- Centennial, Jarron and Jason Collins – Harvard-Westlake, Jordan Hamilton- Dominguez, Chase Budinger-La Costa Canyon, Ryan Hollins- John Muir.

The event takes place at Southwest college on Sunday, November 27th. General admission tickets are $25 and courtside seats are $125. A portion of the proceeds will go to Kids in Sports LA Foundation. To get more info on Tickets and LAUNFD hit the Facebook page or purchase tickets HERE

Most people don’t realize that currently, the state of California can boast of having the most players in the NBA. Usually when people think about basketball meccas, New York and Chicago are the first thoughts. Time to shift your thoughts to the west.
