Growing up in Los Angeles, I think it’s natural that you have some sort of passion for Hollywood and its inner workings. It was true for me when selecting my career aspirations as a child and it was true for L.A. native Baron Davis as well.
In 2008 Baron’s production company Verso Entertainment funded a documentary titled “Crips and Bloods: Made in America,” that focuses on 2 of Los Angeles’ most notorious gangs. Arguably as associated with Southern California as beaches, Beverly Hills and the Hollywood sign. Nominated for Best Documentary, the Emmys will be handed out next Monday in New York city. Unfortunately for them, The Clipper Point Guard will be starting camp for his 3rd season with my favorite underdog team!
But no fear, I’m sure Baron will have another shot to attend the ceremony. His company is in the final stages of developing a script based on the culture of AAU basketball that he hopes will shoot next summer AND a story on his life in the NBA.
