It’s pretty much a certainty that when the New Orleans Hornets make the first pick in the NBA draft later this month, UK’s Anthony Davis will be the name called by Commisioner David Stern. Davis was interviewed on The Dan Patrick show, Thursday and put Kobe Bryant on notice that he’s the player he’s most looking forward to shutting down.
“He’s a monster. So I just want to go out there and play my hardest. There’s a lot of guys that can’t stop Kobe,” said Anthony. “So if I stop him I could be one of the guys that say ‘I shut Kobe down’.”
Dan Patrick warned Anthony that Kobe listens to the show and that he has a great memory.
“Tell him I’ll be waiting,” replied a laughing Anthony.
I LOVE that sort of bravado! I bet Kobe can’t wait to welcome you into the NBA.
