The Assist: Dodgers Matt Kemp’s Big League Chew debut [photo]

Back in the day, “Big League Chew” bubble gum was shredded to make a kiddie version of chewing tabacco. Kind of like how there used to be candy cigarettes. Clearly that sort of stuff is frowned upon now. But, the gum lives on and for it’s 30th anniversary, a new pacage is in order. Instead of cartoon baseball characters, actual MLB players will be featured. Dodgers star Matt Kemp and Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Cole Hamels will be the first up when the repackaged gum drops in June.
