The Houston Astros weren’t the only ones to get a ring following their Game 7 World Series 5-1 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers. Astros shortstop Carlos Correa (22) dropped down on one knee and proposed to girlfriend Daniella Rodriguez (23).
Correa had reportedly been planning to propose after Game 6 but the Astros lost. The team knew the baller had been planning the proposal for days. This is the first World Series win in team history.
“… I was planning if we were World Series champions, I was going to do it right there,” Correa said. “I don’t think that’s a stage you can create; it just has to happen. And we were able to win tonight, so perfect timing for me to get engaged.
“I’ve been thinking about it for months now, but I was waiting for the perfect opportunity, you know. I knew we had a great team, we could accomplish this, and I wasn’t wrong.”
Rodriguez is the 2016 Miss Texas USA. The two met last year when she threw a faulty first pitch at Minute Maid park. They went public in October 2016 at a Kanye West concert. Rodriguez graduated from Texas A&M
