The Dodgers have taken the lead back in the NL West beating the Reds 4-1 and moving a half game ahead of the San Francisco Giants. Meanwhile their injured superstar, Matt Kemp played in his second rehab game with the Class A Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. The All-Star outfielder will continue with the Quakes through the weekend, including a trip to San Jose on Saturday and Sunday.
Kemp will play four more games with the quakes and then head to Kansas City on Monday to participate in the Home Run Derby as Captain of the National league team during MLB All-Star festivities. Kemp was voted into the National League starting lineup but will not play in the game on Tuesday.
Kemp is expected to be back in the Dodgers on July 13, when the Dodgers face off against the San Diego Padres following the break.
