Former Dodgers Broadcaster Vin Scully Won’t Watch Another NFL Game

The NFL anthem protests have received more conversation this season than the actual on field play. One legendary sports announcer says he’s so turned off, he’ll never watch another NFL game again.

Count former Los Angeles Dodgers broadcasting legend Vin Scully among those who have a problem with players kneeling to bring light to racial injustices and police brutality. Scully was at an event in Pasadena, ca. on Saturday where he expressed disappointment with how the situation has played out. ⠀⠀⠀

“I have only one personal thought, really. …and I am so disappointed. I used to love, during the fall and winter, to watch the NFL on Sunday, but I have overwhelming respect and admiration for anyone who puts on a uniform and goes to war. So the only thing I can do in my little way is not to preach. I will never watch another NFL game.”

Scully retired from the Los Angeles Dodgers after being the voice for almost 7 decades.
