Don Mattingly has agreed to a new contract extension with the Dodgers that runs through the 2016 season, per the Los Angeles Times. The deal hasn’t been officially announced.
Mattingly was ion the bubble last June before the Dodgers caught fire, winning the National League West with a 92-70 record. Finally losing to the St. Louis Cardinals in the NLCS.
The Dodgers are 260-225 (.536) in Mattingly’s three seasons as manager.
