On Tuesday Boston Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine had a freak accident because he was texting while riding a bike in Central Park. He then went on to what is likely his last game as manager for the Sox. Of course the outcome to that was a beat down at the hands of the Yankees, 14-2 with the Yankees clinching the AL East title.
It’s expected that Valentine will be fired Thursday or Friday following a disappointing season with the club. The record, 69-92 which placed them last in their division. Valentine went off on a tangent Wednesday saying he didn’t have the support of his coaches. He told WEEI that there was nothing specific he could point to, just a gut feeling.
