Game one of the World Series starts tonight – Tuesday. The match up features two teams who haven’t won the fall classic victory since the 80’s.
The Kansas City Royals last took the World Series title in 1985 while their opponents, the New York Mets won it all the following year in 1986.
Game 1 is at Kauffman Stadium tonight – 7:30 p.m. on FOX, 8 p.m. EST. The Royals have home-field advantage do to the AL’s 6-3 win at the All-Star Game. These two teams have never met in the World Series and haven’t faced each other since the 2013 regular season, when the Royals took two of three at Citi Field.
