Venus Williams: French Courtier??

It was recently announced that Venus & Serena Williams have reclaimed the top rankings in women’s tennis.

Today Venus successfully beat Patty Schnyder in her first round match up at the French Open but the bulk of attention went to Venun’s on court ensemble. A lace black & red number similar is style to one she wore earlier this year at the Sony Ericsson Open.

I don’t understand the fuss. It’s 2010, haven’t we moved beyond conservative tennis whites? The Williams sisters have always added their own spice to the traditional “lily whiteness” of the sport and what’s most important is that they back that flair up on the court!

“Let them eat cake”. It’s FASHION people… Can she live? She is in France after all.

Although her nude undergarmet was a tad much… Illusion huh?? OK
