Serena and Venus Williams were in Medellin, Colombia on Thanksgiving for an exhibition match. For Venus, it was her first time returning to the court since pulling out of the U.S. Open after being diagnosed with Sjogren’s syndrome, an autoimmune disorder.
A crowd of 8,000 watched as Venus defeated Serena 6-4, 7-6 in 1 hour and 33 minutes. Up next for the sisters. The Williams sisters will travel to Milan, Italy to take on Francesca Schiavone and Flavia Pennetta in another exhibition on Dec. 3.
