The U.S. women’s gymnastic team brought home the gold medal Tuesday night in London. The team comprised of McKayla Maroney, Kyla Ross, Alexandra Raisman, Gabrielle Douglas – only the second African-American woman to compete on the USA Olympics gymnastic team- and Jordyn Weiber are the first U.S. team gold win since the Magnificent 7 in 1996. Russia placed second winning silver and Romania taking the bronze medal.
Gabrielle Douglas was the only gymnast to score over 15 on all four apparatuses. All five of the girls are teens competing in their first Olympics.
