Boxing legend Ken Norton passed away on Wednesday, September 18th at the age of 70. Norton was a former heavyweight champion and one of just two fighters to take down boxing icon Muhammad Ali while he was in his prime.
Norton began his boxing career while enlisted in the Marines. He was also owner of a 14-fight win streak that ended with Ali’s victory in the second fight of their three match ups.
Norton’s health has been failing the past few years following a series of strokes. Ken Norton’s son. Ken Jr. is an assistant coach with the Seattle Seahawks and was a pro linebacker for 13 seasons.
