Floyd Mayweather Jr. signs new deal with Showtime/CBS Sports

When Floyd Mayweather jr. returns to the ring May 4th to face off against Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero, the fight won’t be on HBO nor will we be treated to episodes of 24/7. That’s because in addition to announcing his opponent, Floyd has a new PPV deal that will have him doing work for Showtime/CBS Sports. The deal calls for him to fight six times over the course of the next 30 months.

In addition to the switch up in network, Mayweather’s upcoming match will receive heavy promotion on all CBS outlets, including during the NCAA tournament and Final Four.

Oh well HBO, you still have Adrien Broner. He’s the future right.

In separate yet related news, the reality show featuring Floyd’s baby’s mama Josie Harris has been scrapped from TLC. “Starter Wives Confidential” aired just twice before the network made the decision to pull it and show the remaining episodes online. It might be ratings or the numerous alleged lawsuits – 50 Cent stopped his son’s mother from appearing, it’s rumored that rapper Lil Kim may have taken issue with her name being dropped but that’s unconfirmed – You can catch those episodes HERE.
