Bad timing seems to have a lot to do with the current situation sports commentator Greg Anthony is in. Anthony was recently arrested in a prostitution sting in Washington DC after responding to an $80 backpage ad.

According to the charging documents submitted to D.C. Superior Court this past weekend in Anthony’s Jan. 16 arrest, D.C. undercover officers were responding to “complaints” about prostitution activity in the 1500 block of Rhode Island Avenue NW. Anthony was arrested at the Doubletree Hotel in room 805.

Other details, Anthony reportedly wanted the prostitute to “dress up.”

when the undercover officer arrived at Anthony’s room around 5:45 p.m. the undercover officer said it cost $80 for sex. Anthony immediately tried to rebuff such talk and said “Oh I don’t wanna say all that.” The undercover officer responded “I just need to know so I don’t have any surprises.”

After the two discussed the type of sex, the undercover officer then asked “You want me to dress up?” Anthony responded “oh yeah.” No further details were given.

The undercover officer then gave a signal for the arrest team to move in. Anthony was arrested and charged with misdemeanor solicitation for prostitution. Anthony is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 2.
