Athletes express outrage at Ferguson decision

Some athletes aren’t willing to speak out on social issues. While Michael Jordan famously avoided those topics during his playing days, today’s athletes have no problem sharing their opinions on the injustices that are happening to young black men in America.

Monday night saw the announcement of the Grand Jury findings in the shooting of black Missouri teen Mike Brown, at the hands of a white officer named Darren Wilson. 100 days after the incident took place last August, the outcome many feared became reality, no charges.

LeBron, Kobe and several other professional athletes including Lions RB Reggie Bush, Clippers Matt Barnes and Jamal Crawford, and more took to Instagram and Twitter to share their outrage at the decision.

This is a photo of Darren Wilson after the Shooting and this is what I just saw on CNN Darren Wilson Grand Jury Testimony “As he (Mike Brown) is coming toward me… I keep telling him to get on the ground, he doesn’t. I shoot a series of shots. I don’t know how many I shot, I just know I shot it. I know I missed a couple… But I know I hit him at least once because I saw his body jerk…. The face that he had was looking straight through me, Like I wasn’t even there… Just coming straight at me like he was going to run right through me. And when he gets about that 8 to 10 feet away, I look down, I remember looking at my sites and firing, all I see is his head and that’s what I shot. I felt that another one of these punches in my face could knock me out or worse. I mean, it was, he’s obviously bigger than I was and stronger and the, I’ve already taken two to the face and I didn’t think I would, the third one could be fatal if he hit me right. I tried to hold his right arm and use my left hand to get out to have some type of control and no be trapped in my car any more. And when I grabbed him, the only way I can describe it is I felt like a FIVE-year-old holding onto HULK HOGAN” …….. Am I missing something here???? 5yr old/ Hulk Hogan!!!! Smh these statement really upset me but we must remember this… It’s Your community think about it this is what they want you to do…… Make a impact in a positive way!!! There are peaceful protesters in many major cities. Any person shifting his/her efforts to uplifting his/her community is a blessing

Estranged Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson sent out an interesting Tweet. I’m sure he meant it in a positive sense, however…
