This announcement might feel like deja vu. For years, Victor Cruz’s significant other, Elaina Wately, has been referred to as both his girlfriend and fianceé. Wately has even rocked a couple of rings on her left finger. You know the one that’s usually reserved for an engagement ring or wedding band. But n0w, it’s official, Cruz and Wately are engaged.
Vic popped the question on Sunday, July 13th, those other ring(s) were promise ones. Now, Wately has the real deal. Elaina’s mother and several of the couple’s friends shared their excitement about the engagement on social media.
The two have been together for almost 11 years. They met when Wately was a freshman at Florida International University studying finance, and Cruz was a high school senior.
Watley went on to work in sports marketing, even helping to broker a deal for Victor in 2012 with IMG. A few years ago, Cruz said this to describe the importance of Elaina in his life.
